Daphne was born in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up living around Columbus and going to church and understanding “religion,” but did not come to understand what a personal relationship with Jesus Christ meant until her early 30’s. Daphne felt a call to ministry at an early age and began singing in the choir and serving in her church nursery at age 11. From there she assisted with youth group, was a CIT at camps, a counselor, and co-directed church youth camp. Her passion is to see children and families come to know a Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and begin to see how He wants them to utilize their lives to serve Him. Daphne enjoys hiking, playing board games, and hanging out with family and friends.
She loves how her husband, Steve, partners with her in ministry and jumps in anywhere God leads him to serve. Her daughter, Rachel, is the light of her life and serves as a small group leader in Tiny Town and Kids in the Village, and is on the Worship Team in Youth in the Village. She was also on her high school volleyball team and in the choir. Daphne also has two step-daughters, Nicole and Lauren, and a soon-to-be son-in-law, Joseph, who serve in their church in Newark, Ohio.
Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
As well as 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
