At The Village, our desire is to foster an environment of genuine worship, ushering all generations into an encounter with Jesus Christ through our Celebration of Him. We are committed to growing a culture of people who glorify God through multiple expressions of worship, passionately pursuing the Father’s Heart.

Our Worship Team consists of musicians, performers, media techs, and engineers. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where God is exalted and His Word reaches out with maximum impact.

We were created to worship!

It may not come as a surprise to you that worship through song is not something new that the church recently came up with. Worship through music took place during the time that the Bible was written as well. In Psalm 95:1-2 David talks about worship when he says:

“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”

Psalm 100:1-5 says:

“Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.”

You might be asking yourself, “What if I can’t sing? That can’t be pleasing to God!” But don’t ignore the rest of the passage- worship is all about realizing that God is God! He is in control of all of your painful situations and because you know that God is loving, you can worship or praise Him through those hard times. You can also worship God for all of the good things in your life because all good things come from Him. Worship is all about giving God praise and thanks for being such a great God.

Reaching a modern world requires modern methods.

We live in a culture that is inundated with media. Television, computers, smartphones, the Internet, and radio bombard our culture everyday attempting to influence our thoughts and actions with messages selling everything from food to clothes to promises of miracle cures for ailments and solutions to your problems with your spouses and children. It is into this culture that we are trying to enter with the ultimate message of real hope and the only promises that truly matter.

Jesus Himself used innovative techniques to reach His audience. His parables entertained the crowds around Him as He shared the principles of the Kingdom of God. He positioned Himself on the side of a mount for a sermon, and on a boat on a lake to preach so that He could be seen and heard clearly by the crowds as He spoke. Likewise, we embrace media technologies today to amplify and enhance the Gospel message so that those who come to our church will see and hear clearly the call of God to their hearts.

Just as our worship incorporates new styles of music to Celebrate the Lord, our services incorporate video, graphics, and other media elements that present the timeless Gospel in a relevant and contemporary setting that demonstrates that God’s Word is alive and is for us today as it was when it was written and always shall be for every age.
