Bill was born in Pennsylvania, but spent his teen and young adult years in Southern New Jersey. On May 10, 1979 after watching the ‘Thief in the Night’ movie, Bill committed his life to Christ. His culinary training began in Tech school, and continued after graduation at the Academy of Culinary Arts in Atlantic City. He has worked in some of the finest restaurants in Cape May. When he met his wife, Nancy, he moved back to Pennsylvania. They married in 2003, and have been blessed with seven children. Bill has been self-employed as chef/owner of Baird’s Catering, LLC since 2005 until present. Bill joined our team as Cafe Manager and head chef of The Village Cafe in January of 2019.
Bill enjoys being a mission minded chef and posing challenging questions to those around him in hopes of guiding their thoughts back to their Creator. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing with his children, visiting the Jersey Shore, and meeting with the Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) for weekly breakfasts.
