About the Event
Everywhere we look, culture is buzzing with questions, controversies, and convictions. From faith and politics to sexuality, justice, identity, and truth, these “elephants in the room” are often avoided in church because they’re uncomfortable or divisive. But following Jesus means we don’t shy away from hard conversations—we step into them with grace, truth, and courage.
Pastor Dave Bennett will preach a series of messages based on the topics our community submitted in the Fall. We asked for topics that make us uncomfortable or get ignored, then selected the top four submissions. We’ll tackle some of today’s most pressing hot-button issues, not with opinions or outrage, but by asking: What does God’s Word say? How do we navigate these challenges as faithful followers of Christ? Together, we’ll learn how to engage the world around us without losing the hope within us, how to listen with compassion while standing firm in conviction, and how to live out our faith in a way that reflects both the truth and love of Jesus.
