Everywhere we look, culture is buzzing with questions, controversies, and convictions. From faith and politics to sexuality, justice, identity, and truth, these “elephants in the room” are often avoided in church because they’re uncomfortable or divisive. But following Jesus means we don’t shy away from hard conversations—we step into them with grace, truth, and courage. In the Fall of 2025, we asked our congregation to submit teaching topics they wanted to hear about that either get ignored or make people feel uncomfortable. The top four topics were chosen and comprise this series called, Elephant in the Room.
