Lent Spiritual Growth Emphasis
During this Lenten season, we want to draw attention to our need to increase our desire for God! One way we can do that is to look at the purpose God had for his people not only to fast, but also to feast, literally and spiritually. During these 40 days prior to Easter Sunday, we have planned ways to set aside time to feast each week! We will learn about the ancient Jewish feasting through our Sunday messages but also have a modern day spin on feasting. If you would like to come into the church for a dedicated time of prayer during the Lenten Season, Room 318 will be open every Thursday from 9 AM to 7 PM.
Opportunities for you to participate in this Lenten season:
Ash Wednesday Service -
Wednesday, March 2nd - 7:00 PM in the Youth Center
Pancakes with the Pastors -
Sunday, March 6th - Come enjoy pancakes prepared by some of your pastors in the Cafe from 8:00 -10:45 AM! All are welcome! Donations will be accepted.
feast with your connect group -
Week of March 13th - We are encouraging all Connect Groups to get together for a meal in a home or at a restaurant! You meet together, and this week we encourage you to EAT together!
Dinner for 8 -
Sign up to be a guest at a Dinner for 8 during the week of March 20th. Individuals (12 years or older) or couples may register to attend a dinner at a Host Home and you will placed with others who will join a dinner group. Space is limited, so sign up as soon as possible! Once you are placed with a Host Home, you will be notified regarding location, directions, date and time of the dinner along with what you can bring to the meal. There is no registration cost for this dinner. Registration for this event is now closed.
Feast in a bag -
March 6th - March 27th - This Lenten season we will be collecting nonperishable food items for needy people in our community. Pick up a grocery bag at the "Feast in a Bag" display in the lower brick hallway and return the filled bag by March 27th. Click HERE for a list of suggested items. Food will be distributed to local charities.
Communion Sunday -
Sunday, April 3rd - We will celebrate Communion in all three of our services: 8:25, 9:45 and 11:00 AM.
Palm sunday lunch -
Sunday, April 10th - As a part of our celebration of Lent this year, join us for a wonderful catered lunch on Palm Sunday beginning at 12:30 PM. Lunch is $15 per person; children under 8 are free. You must register and pay by April 3rd. Payment is due at the time of registration. Register Here.
Drop by communion-
Thursday, April 14th - As we celebrate what Christ did for us this Easter season, we will participate in the holy act of communion on Maundy Thursday. Feel free to stop by the church Cafe any time between 5:00 - 8:00 PM, where one of our pastors will be available to lead you and your family, or guests, in this communion service.
Good Friday Service-
Friday, April 15th -Join us in this solemn remembrance of Christ's sacrifice and suffering for our redemption. Service will begin at 7:00 PM in the Worship Center. Childcare is available for infants through 2 years.
Easter sunday Services-
Sunday, April 17th - Join for one of our Easter Sunday Services as we celebrate the glorious resurrection and the hope of eternity we have in our Savior! 8:25, 9:45 or 11:00 AM.
